I feel I was very fortunate to find Adele to help me with a major refurbishment and complete redecoration of my flat this year. From our first meeting I found her a pleasure to deal with, responsive to my needs and utterly reliable. She guided me through choices and decisions with a light but firm touch, nudged me to keep to a timetable, stayed within our agreed budget except when I broke it and was patient and calm when I dithered. Her employees were expert efficient and tidied after themselves very well.

It has been such a delight working with A&K who first did a renovation for me in London in 2023, which had issues of black mould, damp and poor electrics .I engaged them again for a trickier Sussex project in 2025, after other contractors let me down.
I was gently guided through each phase and choice of finish which made it pleasurable process throughout.
Their friendly team of decorators, plumbers, tilers and electricians are superb, and professional. They minimise noise and disruption as far a s possible and I have no hesitation recommending them to several friends.

She answered any queries immediately and was pleasant punctual and efficient as were her workmen. She saved a huge amount of my time by dealing with Camden council for me, thank goodness. The cost was reasonable and I have no hesitation in recommending her company.

What’s not to recommend. With Adele as Project Manager and her team
of very nice and professional tradesmen you could not wish for better. Nothing is too much trouble and if you need help with decisions Adele will always come up with suggestions and solutions. I have used this company three times and can only shower them with well deserved praise. A&K BD have completed three separate projects for us in the last two years, all of which we consider to be highly successful.
The first was the construction of a new Utility and Shower Room together with a complete refurbishment of our Roof, plus Kitchen and Bathroom, with associated replacement of most Electrical and Plumbing services. The second project was a renovation of our ground floor Living spaces, Hall, Stairs and Landings. ​Finally we updated all our four Bedrooms together with replacement of some cupboards and wardrobes.
All work was completed to a good standard in an efficient and timely manner. The bonus with this company, is that we feel we can discuss with Adele and Klio any requirements, issues, changes etc, in a friendly and understanding positive manner, to enable a satisfactory conclusion to be reached for all. They are certainly more sympathetic than most to the upheaval and problems of works being carried out in one`s home.
In fact we now consider them to be friends rather than “Builders” and would not hesitate to recommending them.

'For at least 20 years I put off re-decorating, re-carpeting and generally re-vamping my over-stuffed studio flat. Finally things got so bad I either had to sell up or bite the bullet. I asked the block caretaker who said Adele had done another flat in the block with no problems. So I got a quote, said Yes and packed everything into boxes that Adele provided. Her team of ‘boys’ shifted the box to a temporary base in the block next door (and back again afterwards), then – like a military exercise - gutted, re-wired, re-plumbed, re-plastered, re-tiled, re-decorated, re-carpeted, re-glazed and re-furnished. I was kept up to date on progress by email or site meets all the time. There is no way I could have even started to plan, get the right skills and keep on top of it all. The work came in on budget and only cost me more than I’d planned because I asked for or OK’d costed extras. So if you are faced with the need (or perhaps even desire) to gut and re-do a flat, I’d wholeheartedly recommend Adele and her boys '
